Dear
Chapter Members:
We
would like to welcome five new members to our Chapter,
Innovative Homes, M & R Floors, Inc., Homecrafters, ADI
Corporation, Jones Homes LLC., and Stohlman Custom
Cabinetry, LLC. Welcome to NARI Mid-Maryland! Let's
reach out to these new members and see if we can do
business with them and ask them to get involved in
upcoming Chapter events.
Our
board has been working hard over the summer to bring you
unique and different programs this fall. Out Surplus
Sale is coming up on September 19th and what an
opportunity you have and we have as a Chapter. Check our

see this and participate. If you do nothing else this
year, don't miss the Surplus Sale.
Our
first ever CotY Awards will be held at Dutch's Daughter
October 21st. A night of semi-formal, fun and tributes
to those in our region who have earned the right to be
the Contractor of the Year! It will truly be a
historical night for Mid-Maryland!

We are
very excited about the many member benefits that are
available for all our members. NARI National has put a
marketing plan in action that will prove to be a great
benefit for all NARI members.
NARI
National has put many great benefits in place for all
it's members and we are seeing the benefit of more
consumer awareness. It was decided that beginning
January 1, 2010, National dues will go up by $35. Our
Chapter dues will increase as well by $15 for a total
increase of $50. The Chapter annual dues will only be
$500.00. This is below average compared with many other
NARI Chapters.

Downloadable icons for members and chapters are now
available! The icons link to videos that explain the
importance of NARI membership. This is a great tool for
you to display on your website and help educate your
clients and potential clients. To download the icons go

on your website. Your web administrator should know how
to do this.
These
icons will quickly tell the NARI story, to help generate

generate leads for members. We are delivering more
consumer awareness with your participation.

CERTIFICATION MADE EASY!
Certified Remodeler (CR) Certification
We are
ready to start our CR Certification study group. Our
study group will start in September and run until
December. Attendees will collectively decide on dates of
the study group.

Business Works Program provides funding to support
Maryland businesses in the retention and growth of their
workforce. The program is responsive to business needs
and encourages industry certifications and enhancement
of job related, occupational skills for full-time
